How About One Of Our Brand New Botanical Tours?

We know that our guests love flowers and gardens as much as we do, which is why we’ve designed two special dedicated Botanical Tours for 2021. These holidays aim to showcase the very best of the flora on display in the areas visited, while taking you to glorious gardens and offering a chance to explore the culture as you go. So, where can we take you?

Crete

Discover the endemic plantlife on one of the Mediterranean’s largest islands as we take you on a flower-filled journey around Crete. Explore the dramatic Samaria Gorge where wildflowers await, botanise on the slopes of Mount Ida and take a tour of the Palace of Knossos, an incredible archaeological site linked with Greek mythology.

Turkey

On this eight-day holiday, you will explore not only the gardens of Turkey, but its fascinating archaeology as well. Visit some of the parks and gardens on either side of the Bosphorus that host the celebrated Tulip Festival, spend time admiring plants at the excellent Karaca Arboretum and discover the 900 plant species on display at Kazdagi National Park. In addition to the flowers, we will take you to the archaeological site of Ephesus with its Roman-era terraced houses and there will also be a visit to ancient Assos, which is perched on a prominent hilltop overlooking the Aegean and Sappho’s island of Lesbos.
