Celebrate English Tourism Week With A Holiday At Home

Created to celebrate the wealth of history, heritage and culture to be found here, English Tourism Week is an annual event worth honouring and it takes place between March 30th and April 7th. With that in mind, Brightwater Holidays is offering a number of tours based in England, which will take groups of likeminded guests to an array of fabulous locations around the country. Special access to private gardens, beautiful blooms and historic homes await on UK-based tours operated by Brightwater.

The tours of England offered by our award-winning company range from visits to some of the country’s most renowned flower shows and beautiful gardens, to the chance to explore historic homes and its artistic heritage. From the flagship tour of Highgrove & the Cotswolds to something a little more niche, such as Arts & Gardens in Cornwall – which includes time at Barbara Hepworth’s magnificent sculpture garden – there is something on everyone's doorstep.

On the island of Tresco, where there are no cars, pay an extensive visit to the glorious Abbey Gardens. With multiple departures throughout the year, there are many chances to experience these subtropical gardens, which are home to over 3,000 species. Make a pilgrimage to the iconic Chelsea Flower Show on a tour that also includes visits to Stourhead, Hestercombe and Sissinghurst. Discover the story of the great monarch Queen Victoria and follow in her footsteps on a holiday that will take guests to sites connected to her life, from the gorgeous Isle of Wight to busy London.

If you're interested in something with more of a history or archaeology focus, why not browse the UK-based holidays offered by our sister company, Andante Travels. Take a walking tour of Hadrian's Wall in the company of an expert archaeologist, discover the sites and stories of Medieval England or delve into the lives of Henry VIII's wives on its Darts of Love tour. Elsewhere, Andante offers a range of day-long study experiences, where you can join former royal correspondent Jennie Bond on a tour of Windsor Castle, step inside of the inner circle at Stonehenge or discover Ice Age art at Creswell Crags.
