If you've been keeping updated with the latest news, it may come as no surprise that a staycation is more likely to be on the cards if you're hoping to enjoy a getaway over the coming months. Luckily, the United Kingdom is home to some magnificent landscapes and incredibly rich history, meaning that a holiday at home definitely has its perks!

In January, a survey was carried out by HolidayCottages about the places people most wanted to visit on their UK staycations this year and the Top 10 revealed some wonderful destinations. Cornwall took the number one spot, closely followed by the Scottish Highlands. Other locations on the list include the gorgeous Peak District, the scenic Cotswolds and rural Dorset.
