If you're looking for a holiday that includes a memorable experience or two, we have a selection of trips on offer that include that. From tobogganing down a street in Madeira to a visit to the unique Lemon Festival in France, and from dinner with an apprentice geisha in Japan to a chance to tour a rum distillery in Grenada.

On our Gardens of Madeira tour, which has no single supplement, you can choose to enjoy a 10-minute toboggan ride where you slide down the streets from Monte to Funchal in traditional wicker toboggans. Trust us, it's safer than it sounds!
Join the May departure of this tour and you'll be treated to a day at the magnificent International Rose Festival in Grasse. There are a variety of fringe attractions including perfume displays, but roses are the key feature.
This tour includes the chance to dine with a maiko, which is an apprentice geisha. A maiko's role is to play traditional Japanese instruments for visitors as well as to perform songs or dances. This experience is truly memorable.
The February 2021 departure of our popular Gardens of the French Riviera tour includes a day at the quirky Menton Lemon Festival.
It is known for being one of the largest and most colourful events on the south coast of France, and a wonderful tonic at the start of the gardening year. Elaborate floats and imaginative sculptures in dazzling shades of orange and yellow are paraded through the Promenade du Soleil in Menton, bringing huge bursts of colour and a lemony zest to the early spring, with a carnival spirit and joie de vivre that is typically French.
As part of our holiday to Grenada, you will visit the River Antoine Rum Distillery for a tour that explains the process of turning raw cane sugar into the iconic Caribbean spirit, followed by a tasting of the finished product. This particular rum distillery has been in production since 1785 and old-fashioned equipment is still used today – it's quite incredible to witness!

That's right, our Singapore Garden Festival holiday is a real treat and it includes an afternoon tea experience at the famous Raffles hotel. Home to the Singapore Sling cocktail, this hotel is known the world over and is well worth a visit. Afternoon tea there is an elegant affair!

As part of our Gardens of Costa Rica tour, which departs in February 2021 and then in January 2022, you will enjoy the Organic Paradise Tour, where you will learn about the process of pineapple farming – from the harvesting to the packing and export. There will of course be an opportunity to taste this delicious, sweet fruit.
