The Isle of Skye
One of our favorite places in the country, the magnificent Isle of Skye is home to the geological wonder that is the Old Man of Storr, picturesque fishing villages with brightly colored houses and the much-photographed Fairy Pools. This island is the largest in the Inner Hebrides archipelago at 50 miles long and it's also a fantastic destination in which to observe wildlife.

The Island of Mull
Mull is an absolute paradise for birdwatchers and one of the best places in Scotland to see big raptors such as the Golden Eagle and White Tailed Sea Eagle. The scarce Black Throated Diver and the noisy Red Throated Diver can also be spotted on sea lochs. It is also a place of tumbling burns, high peaks, dramatic views and a silent, lonely beauty.

The Island of Gigha
Situated off the west coast of Kintyre in Scotland, Gigha (pronounced geeha) is a unique place to explore. It has only one village, Ardminish, which is home to a pier, post office and a shop. It is just seven miles long by a mile and a half wide, and it has been community-owned since 2002. There's an optional excursion to Gigha as part of our holiday below.

The Island of Coll
The small Hebridean island of Coll is a delight to discover. Its beaches have white, sparkling sands, the wildlife is abundant and the stars will shine brighter than you could ever imagine thanks to the dark, clear skies. Part of the island is an RPSB reserve and it also boasts some of the longest sunshine hours in the UK.
The Isle of Islay
This fantastic part of Scotland is known for its distinctive malt whiskies, its sandy beaches and diverse birdlife. During your time here, why not visit the Bowmore Distillery (the island's oldest – there are nine to be found here) and Loch Gruinart RSPB Nature Reserve, which is home to many bird species.
