As you know, we offer a selection of archaeology vacations for those interested in history, culture and stories. However, we wanted to take a moment and introduce you to our sister brand, Andante Travels, who offer expert-led tours that specialize just in archaeology.

Highlights of Pompeii | 5 days from $1,940

This is a five-day tour, led by award-winning guide Dr Eireann Marshall. In addition to spending an entire day in Pompeii, you will also visit neighbouring Herculaneum, explore the villa at Oplontis and take a tour of Naples' fabulous archaeology museum. Christmas in Edinburgh | 6 days from $2,125

If you want to ring in the new year with a bit more celebration, this is a great way to do it. Storytellers will join the group to introduce Scottish Christmas traditions and share folktales of faeries and other local spirits; you'll enjoy a special Mary King’s Close Christmas walk along with a stroll down the Royal Mile on Christmas Day, and there will be visits to both the Writers’ Museum and the nostalgic Museum of Childhood. Another Scottish experience, this time centred around the enchanting Kilmartin Glen. From great prehistoric sites shrouded in mystery, and amazing, rugged landscapes, this small corner of the world has a lot to offer. Explore Navan Fort – ancient seat of kings – and its reconstructed Iron Age dwelling, experience the impressive geological site of Giant's Causeway and pay a visit to Titanic Belfast. Highlights of Orkney | 5 days from $1,865

The four monuments that make up the heart of Neolithic Orkney are some of the most important in Europe: the 5,000-year-old village of Skara Brae, the giant chambered grave of Maeshowe, the atmospheric Ring of Brodgar Stone Circle, and the Stones of Stenness. Highlights of Shetland | 5 days from $1,755

There is much to explore here, from ancient field boundaries to an Iron Age village; and from a Viking longhouse to substantial relics from two world wars. We visit the internationally important sites at Mousa, Scatness and Jarlshof, and we take a ferry to the most northerly island in Britain, Unst – thought to be the first footfall of the Vikings.
